Fremantle Board of Trustees Appoints Two New Members

The Fremantle Trust is a registered charity and not-for-profit business. Its aim is to provide first class care and support services that enhance quality of life for older people and adults with a learning disability. As a charity, Fremantle is governed by a board of Trustees which directs strategy. Two more Trustees have just been appointed to bring additional knowledge to the board’s broad experience. The Board now comprises 14 Trustees which allows for a structured rotation of members; bringing in new ideas and maintaining long-term stability when people retire.
Sandy Hutchison. Sandy has a professional background as an engineer and held a number of positions as managing director in manufacturing and service companies within the building industry. Since 2003 he has been a board member of JGA which provides training services, including NVQs in Health and Social Care. From personal experience he has come to respect the commitment and enthusiasm of care staff and their professionalism in enabling vulnerable people to lead fulfilling lives.
Richard Jones. Richard has spent his career in various roles in IT services. Some 20 years ago he focused his career to specialise in outsourcing and has a demonstrable record of achievement based on is innovative approach to problem solving and a real understanding of service delivery. Since his retirement he has travelled widely and has been involved as a site manager for Light House and fundraising for a variety of good causes.
Carole Sawyers, Chief Executive of Fremantle said, “I’m delighted to welcome these two new Trustees. The Fremantle Trust has been fortunate to have the services of a very committed, enthusiastic and skilled Board of volunteer trustees and I am confident that Sandy and Richard will bring new skills and valuable experience to the Board.”
